a fabulous find

with a fabulous price tag!  Oh how I love you Target! Say hello to my new clock for the office!  Isn't it a beauty?  I love the clean modern lines and the raised numbers.  And for $6.99 (on sale from $8.99) you really can't beat the style!  Yes, it's plastic but I am completely happy and content.  Sigh.  Now where to hang it... That's all for now.  Oh, you can check out the clock online here .  xoxo

last weekend's adventures!

This weekend we were planning on heading out of town to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary but hubby hurt his back at work this week so he is laying low on the couch.  Me, I'll be mowing the lawn, cleaning the house and doing laundry.  I should probably go grocery shopping but I feel really unmotivated.  I'll have to work on that. So last weekend we had a great time shopping in Portland for some additional office materials and decor and then had the opportunity to witness our close friend graduate college!  We visited IKEA for the first time (amazing), checked out Crate and Barrel, and then had some good catch up time with my parents and grandmother.  It seemed like such a quick visit but I felt so rejuvenated by getting out of town. I must say, it was a little painful to be sitting in the stands of our "enemy" (GO DUCKS) but we suffered through to watch our buddy close this chapter of his life.  This is the only time you'll see me support the beav

DIY WOODEN BRIDAL HANGER GIFT

With so many wedding invitations spread out across our dining room table (we're looking at around 8 weddings this summer!!!) and our 3 year wedding anniversary come and gone, I am in the mood to share a little wedding DIY project.  No, I didn't do this for my wedding, but I should have!  Our photographer had some great photos of my dress and the hanger would have added a little romantic touch to it, oh well!  I found this idea first from this amazing wedding planner Rhianna from Hey Gorgeous Events in Michigan and then found it all over pinterest! This photo is from Rhianna's office which she affectionately calls her "girl cave."  I like the full wire hanger but didn't think that I could complete the project and have it look pretty.  Plus, the bar on the hanger I used broke so as not to waste a perfectly good hanger, I used it for a project! You will need: Wooden Hanger (preferably without the wooden dowel) Wire (I used 12 gauge alu

DRY ERASE BOARD UPDATE

Hi ladies!  Just a quick update from around here!  Remember when I wrote about the DIY Dry Erase Board project I did months ago?  Well, I have gotten really bored with the grey and white chevron striped printout (and blurry at that) behind the glass.  So I did a quick switch-a-roo and voila, it looks so much better! I just used some burlap fabric which I cut and placed inside the frame. Now I think I just need a prettier frame! Oh, so much better! Once I finish my bulletin board project using burlap, I'll make sure to post it up here!  Have a great night!   xoxo
